Historisches Shaw-Haus

The Chase off Grand, in our words

The Chase off Grand is a spacious historic home in Shaw, the restored Victorian neighbourhood of galleries, restaurants and the Botanical Garden. Built in 1903, it keeps its hardwood floors, its original windows and its steep staircase (and its creaks), while the wiring, plumbing, heating, air and appliances are modern and looked after. The master has a king and an en-suite bath; four more bedrooms hold a king and three queens, one with two twin futons, and the living room has a sofa bed, so fourteen sleep. The living room seats twelve with games for the group, the formal dining table seats ten, and every bedroom has a smart TV. There is a washer and dryer, 392 Mbps Wi-Fi and free parking for two cars behind the house, minutes from the zoo, the Science Center, the Arch and Forest Park.

A note from William

We set this home up ourselves, and we host it ourselves with a local team. If something comes up during your stay you will reach us, not a call centre. Ask me where to eat, what to see and how to get around; and if your plans change, we have other homes nearby and can often move you without interrupting your trip.
