Bates West House, in our words

The Bates West House is a Greek Revival designed by the architect Nelle Peters in 1905, in the middle of Hyde Park and a stone’s throw from Country Club Plaza and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Inside, 1,600 square feet of light-filled rooms hold four bedrooms and three full baths, an open floor plan, a fireplace for cold evenings and a fully equipped kitchen; Google Fiber Wi-Fi and a smart TV with streaming take care of the rest. Out back there is a private yard with an outdoor dining table, a fire pit and a grill. Hallmark Crown Center, cafes and parks for running are close, and the MAX bus downtown is a short walk.

A note from William

We set this home up ourselves, and we host it ourselves with a local team. If something comes up during your stay you will reach us, not a call centre. Ask me where to eat, what to see and how to get around; and if your plans change, we have other homes nearby and can often move you without interrupting your trip.
