The West Bates house is such a great space to stay near the Country Club Plaza. The only downside is that there is very limited parking on the street. We stayed as a group of 8 women for a bachelorette party and had plenty of space for all of us to stay comfortably for the weekend. The house is spacious, very clean, remodeled and very well decorated. The house is well stocked with all supplies you could need including bed linens, towels, soap, shampoo, dishes, utensils, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, etc. It is located in a nice neighborhood of Hyde Park. The only issue that we encountered during our stay was difficulty figuring out how to disable the security alarm when we entered, but we were able to easily contact the host and it was taken care of instantly. Check-in and Check-out was very simple and self-sufficient, didn't require any interaction with the host. I was very impressed with my very first Airbnb experience and definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in downtown KC!
Chelsea Bates West House
I felt RIGHT AT HOME. I stayed for about three months. The house had so many home things I didn’t need anything more in the kitchen to make fancy meals and bake frequently. The dinning table was so big it was perfect for me to do law work. The bedrooms had a firm matters option and a more softer mattress setup. You could pick! It was fully stoked with paper towels, toilet paper, so many towels, kitchen towels, shampoo/ conditioner and even cleaning vacuum and brooms also mop etc. This place has so much natural lighting and HUGE windows. The neighbor was so peaceful I could leave my windows open and enjoy the breeze. I had my dog with me and we had a very specious green back yard and front porch. Lots of people walking their dogs on the street too. Honestly, I’ve stayed at so many airbnbs this is in my top. I already have another unit booked with William. 💯 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a great stay! William was very responsive and accommodating. He promptly answered all my questions. The house is beautiful, well furnished and was perfect for our group of 11. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable. I will say the living area is a little small for 12 people, but we dined in shifts, spent most of our time out of the house, and had several children with us so it was perfect for our needs. There’s also a small outdoor dining table which could be nice during warmer weather.
The house is a short drive to all of the places we needed to visit (museums, zoo, arch, etc…) as well as many great restaurants.
Overall, this has probably been my best Airbnb experience and would definitely return if we ever find ourselves back in St. Louis.

This was the perfect place for my friends and I to stay for a long weekend in KC! I booked this AirBnb for my sister’s bachelorette party, and it definitely did not disappoint. It is in a great location - close to many awesome restaurants and attractions/places for entertainment in KC. It’s also such a spacious, cute place to stay! We had about 15 girls on this trip, and having so many bathrooms was one of the biggest perks. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a big place to stay in KC with a super fun vibe. William was great to work with as well - very responsive and flexible, and he provided very clear instructions for checking in and out. It was such an easy process, and the place was so well-kept! 5 stars doesn’t do it justice!!!

Where to begin! William’s place is amazing!!! Close proximity to everything we needed for our stay in KC, as well as outfitted with everything you could need for a stay. We stayed right before Christmas and the hole was beautifully and stylistically decorated accordingly.
The place may be the nicest and best designed Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. The beds were so comfortable too!
Myself and my staff could not have asked for a better experience after needing to switch Airbnb’s due to a plethora of issues with the property we originally booked.
William was incredibly quick with responses during a time of distress for our group and that was most appreciated. Because of William and his fantastic property, our stay in KC went from dreadful to incredible!

William’s 2 bedroom apartment has all the little touches to make you feel at home. The place is true to pictures and has everything you need!
I stayed here for 3 months and very much enjoyed my stay!
One note just for any solo female travellers. I felt comfortable leaving in my vehicle but would not walk around in this neighborhood at night as it’s still in an area of town that seems to be transitioning. That may be a personal preference but thought it was worth mentioning. Otherwise the location is very convenient minutes from crown plaza and quick drive downtown!!

Our family had a wonderful long weekend gathering at this beautifully restored home! It is within easy walking distance to Hyde Park and a great coffee shop, Oddly Correct, close to Kauffman Gardens and easy driving to Country Club Plaza. The house is clean, nicely decorated with a great outdoor space and games. Six beds and three full baths were awesome for our group of nine! Checking in and out was easy. William is an excellent host, quick to respond to our questions. I would highly recommend this great place and we look forward to another stay!

I’ve stayed in William among two of his properties for about 3-4 months of long term stay. He is amazingly responsive with in the first reach out. The place looks exactly like the photos. The bigger room was so comfortable, the bed was so comfy. I made intricate meals with ease. I love to cook. No noise issues. Could sleep soundly through out a whole day with no disturbances. The tub was larger than most for relaxing baths. I did spend time on the patio with a friends chatting it up with cold drinks. It was a delight.!

Such an amazing place, in a convenient location! Huge bedrooms, plenty of full bathrooms, big kitchen and a large dining area. A group of parents travelled in St Louis to watch our daughters play college lacrosse. The house was a nice set up for 14 people. The accommodations definitely exceeded our expectations. We definitely plan to come back and stay again. So close and convenient to so many of St Louis attractions. Such a beautiful, safe area to be in. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

This is one of those rare instances where reality far exceeds expectation. The apartment is roomy, stylish, quiet, comfortable and has every amenity one would need. The location is on a quiet beautiful tree lined street. It is immaculately clean!
William was very helpful and super quick to respond! If I cold give this place 10 stars I would. Great place and a HUGE value! If you’re coming to Kansas City and William’s place is available, book it...... now!
